Bazar Pericoapa La Virgen is a shopping mall located in Mexico City, is an open concept designed for small and medium business’.

During my management as part of the Bazar’s administration, overseeing 100 merchants, I integrated my experience in public relations and commercial strategy to boost the growth of the space and each merchant, under the premise that our success depended on theirs. Here are my main contributions:

Commercial Strategy and Diagnostics

Implemented a record-keeping system containing merchants’ commercial information, identifying their strengths and areas of opportunity. This served as a baseline to design diffusion strategies and value-driven topics focused on business training.

Commercial Record Keeping

Designed a detailed database of the 100 merchants, classifying their business categories, star products, strengths, and vulnerabilities.

Training Needs Assessment

Based on the diagnostics, I identified which businesses required support in digital transformation, product merchandising, or customer service.

Targeted Promotional Campaigns

Used this data to create tailored marketing strategies, giving visibility to the businesses that needed it most during key moments.

Public Relations & Digital Management

Developed an integrated public relations system that covered internal communications, crisis management, and administration on platforms like Google Maps and social media, strengthening visibility and a sense of community within the bazaar.

Internal Communication System

Established clear channels and announcements to keep the 100 merchants aligned, informed, and engaged in the bazaar’s decisions and events.

Crisis Management and Reputation

Handled and resolved critical situations ranging from on-site incidents and tenant conflicts to managing negative reviews and complaints on Google Maps and social media, protecting the plaza’s public reputation and turning friction into positive resolutions.

Social Media Strategy

Advised merchants and guided them with their individual social media channels, providing personalized support to help their businesses thrive beyond the bazaar.

Digital Strategy

Managed the bazaar’s main digital channels to increase organic traffic, highlight success stories, and foster a strong sense of community belonging.

Event & Activity Management

Coordinated key activities to energize the plaza, such as a first aid course for staff and merchants (handling the entire logistics through to its successful completion) and open-to-the-public breakdance classes taught by a merchant to drive greater visitor turnout.

Safety Training (First Aid)

Organized and executed the end-to-end logistics of a first-aid course directed at plaza staff and merchants, ensuring a safer environment.

Cultural Activations

Spearheaded a project where one of the merchants taught open-to-the-public breakdance classes, attracting a completely new and younger demographic to the plaza.

General Logistics Coordination

Supervised spaces, permits, timelines, and calls to action to ensure the absolute success of each massive event.

Quantitative & Qualitative Results

As a result of these initiatives, I successfully elevated customer satisfaction levels, increased visitor traffic to the plaza, and generated a considerable rise in commercial store rentals.
